Privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-04-17

This policy explains what information Plumber Secretary collects, how we use it, and your choices. It applies to our website and the call-handling Service.

1. Information we collect

We collect business contact info you submit (name, business, phone, email), call metadata for forwarded calls (phone number, duration, time), optional call recordings and transcripts, and basic web analytics.

2. How we use it

To answer your business phone calls, book jobs into your calendar, send SMS summaries, bill you, support you, and improve the Service. Call audio and transcripts may be used to retrain the underlying models in aggregate; you can opt out of training in your dashboard.

3. Sharing

We share data only with our telephony vendor (Twilio), AI voice vendor, and infrastructure providers, all under confidentiality agreements. We do not sell personal data.

4. California residents — CCPA

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of sale (we do not sell data). Email privacy@plumbersecretary.com to exercise these rights.

5. Retention

Call recordings are retained for 90 days by default. Transcripts and call metadata are retained for 24 months for billing and support. You can request shorter retention in your dashboard.

6. Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. No system is perfect; if we learn of a breach we will notify affected customers within 72 hours as required by California law.
